Gurdwara Sahib Charlotte, established in 2003 by The Sikh Heritage Society of Greater Charlotte, serves as a spiritual and community hub for Sikhs in the region. Founded on the core principles of Sikhism – Naam Japo (Remembering God), Kirat Karo (Honest Livelihood), and Vand Chako (Sharing and Helping Others) – the Gurdwara provides a place of worship and community engagement. The Gurdwara hosts weekly programs on Fridays, featuring Rehras Sahib Path followed by Kirtan and Guru Ka Langar (Community Meal). Sunday services include Sukhmani Sahib Path, Kirtan by the Sangat and renowned Kirtaniyas like Bhai Sarabjit Singh Rangila Ji, culminating in Guru Ka Langar. Beyond regular services, Gurdwara Sahib Charlotte offers a Gurmat School for children, focusing on Sikh principles, history, and values. The institution actively encourages selfless service through its "sewadar" program, inviting community members to contribute without expectation of reward.
