History
Established in 1986, the Sikh Association of Fresno has been a beacon of Sikh heritage and values, fostering a strong and vibrant community. The Sikh Institute of Fresno, a 48,000-square-foot building on 11 acres on North Parkway Drive, replaced Gurdwara Singh Sahab on East Dakota Avenue in central Fresno in 2012. The Sikh Association is committed to carrying forward the principles of the Singh Sabha movement, spreading the teachings of Gurbani, the Punjabi language, and Sikh history and traditions.

Community Learning Center, Punjabi School, scholarships for higher education, open air hall for outdoor events (Phase II in progress), Kitchen Project and Senior Citizen Homes (Phase II in progress).
