SEWA (Sikh Education Welfare Association Inc) Gurudwara Sahib, Roswell. The Gurudwara is a Sikh place of worship. Gurudwara is a compound word created by combining Gur for Guru and Dwara Meaning door or house . Thus the word Gurudwara means the door or house of the Guru. It is both a spritual place of worship and a cultural learning centre for the young budding American Sikhs. Sikhium is the youngest amongst the world religions. It arose over 500 years ago in (sub-continental) India. It Surged up across the horizon as a great revolutionary force that changed the very course of Indian History. With its values of universalism, Liberalism, Humanisum and pluralism, preached and propagated in the medieval age, Sikh religion introduced new elements which later flowered out in modern world civilization.
