About Arizona Sikh Gurdwara Sahib

The Arizona Sikh Gurdwara, established in 1999 by the Sikh Religious Society of Arizona, serves as a central hub for the Sikh community in Phoenix. Its history began with a desire to create a dedicated place for Sikh worship and community activities, leading to the purchase of its current location at 1129 E Sheridan Street. Since its founding, the Gurdwara has regularly held services every Sunday. The Gurdwara offers a range of religious, charitable, and cultural services. This includes religious services held at the Gurdwara and at private residences or businesses. It actively engages in community projects, notably providing free Langar for the needy. Unique features include periodic free health care clinics and blood donation camps, as well as the Arizona Sikh Punjabi School, which provides religious and Punjabi education to children. The Gurdwara is also home to a distinguished Hazoori Ragi Jatha, currently led by Bhai Tejinder Pal Singh Ji, who is accompanied by a harmonium player and tabla player. The Gurdwara's vibrant community role is further highlighted by its ongoing commitment to supporting and enriching the lives of Sikhs in Arizona through various initiatives and events.
