Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Sangat of Virginia, also known as Central Sikh Mission of America (CSMA), is a spiritual center dedicated to fostering faith and community. The Gurdwara hosts weekly Kirtan Diwans every Thursday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm and Sunday mornings from 9:30 am to 1 pm, featuring devotional hymns and spiritual discourse. They also hold weekly Sukhmani Sahib recitation on Saturdays from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, open to all. Beyond regular services, the Gurdwara observes significant Sikh festivals and historical commemorations in accordance with the Nanakshahi calendar, including Gurpurabs, Vaisakhi, and Bandi Chhor Diwas. They offer a range of additional services such as Ardas, Kirtan for both the Gurdwara and private residences, Akhand Paath, Sahej Paath, blessings for newborns, Anand Karaj (Sikh marriage ceremonies), funerals, and death anniversaries. For these services, contact is made through Gyani Ji in advance. The Gurdwara emphasizes the importance of connecting with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and offers Punjabi classes for all ages to deepen understanding of Gurbani and Sikh heritage. The community also engages in Seva (selfless service) and provides Langar, the communal kitchen, for all visitors during Diwans. The Gurdwara Sahib is open seven days a week, from morning to evening, welcoming all to deepen their spiritual journey.
