About Gurdwara Sahib of Milpitas
Gurdwara Sahib Milpitas is dedicated to the spiritual upliftment of mankind through the universal message of Guru Nanak, spreading the teachings embodied in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Established with the support of the Sikh community and Milpitas City officials, its grand opening was celebrated on July 19th, 2009. The Gurdwara offers daily services from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, including Parkash, Nitnem, Keertan, Rahraas, and Samapti. Special services include Divan on Wednesdays and Path and Keertan on Sundays. The Gurdwara hosts two esteemed Raagi Jathas, Bhai Vijay Singh and Jatha, and Bhai Jagdish Singh and Jatha. Community and religious services available for reservation include Akhand Path Sahib, weddings, and other significant occasions. The Gurdwara provides langar service for these events. Its mission centers on worshipping Sri Guru Granth Sahib as the living Guru, following the decree of Guru Gobind Singh. History
The Mission's vision is that of exploring mankind's spiritual upliftment through a worldwide spread of the Universal Message of Guru Nanak. The Mission's main devotion is spiritual upliftment by spreading far and wide, the teachings and messages embodied in Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Guru Granth Ji Maanyo Pragt Guran Ki Deh meaning thereby that Sri Guru Granth Sahib should be worshipped as their living Guru. After a succession often embodied Gurus from Guru Nanak, the first and Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru, it was decreed by Guru Gobind Singh that there would no more be any embodied Guru as his successor, as he proclaimed the divine order for all his followers to worship Sri Guru Granth Sahib as the living embodiment of the Gurus.
